Heirloom Redesign

At Precious Lace Jewelry, we delight in transforming heirloom and unworn pieces into renewed, meaningful designs. Here’s a look at our process for redesigning your existing jewelry into something you’ll cherish and wear with pride once more.

How It Works

After you reach out to us, we will kindly request photographs and detailed descriptions of your pieces. This allows us to assess the scale, condition, and specific characteristics of any gemstones or diamonds. We also encourage you to consider the current state of your stones, as vintage gems may show signs of wear, and chipped or damaged stones may not be suitable for resetting.

Once we have reviewed your images, gained a clear understanding of your vision, and established a working budget, our design process begins. We will curate inspiration imagery and may provide initial sketches or digital renderings. These concepts will be refined and finalized upon receipt of your jewelry, ensuring that the final design reflects both the integrity of the original piece and your personal aesthetic.

Pricing

Pricing will be determined once we know the scope and intricacy of your project.

Insurance

Your pieces will be fully insured while in our care and during transit when shipped using our designated labels. Prior to sending your jewelry, please provide an estimated value of your items, along with any available appraisal documents or GIA certificates, to ensure accurate coverage and handling.

Design Possibilities

Imagine the jewelry you wish to bring to life. Will it be a bold ring, a delicate necklace, striking earrings, or an elegant bracelet? What mood or story do you want your piece to tell—classic refinement, contemporary edge, or whispered romance? Is this a treasure for daily wear, or a statement reserved for unforgettable moments? And will your vision manifest as a singular work of art or a thoughtfully curated collection?

Design and Manufacturing Time

It can take anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks to complete an heirloom redesign.

Gold Scrap & Unused Gemstones

Upon completion of your project, you may choose to have any scrap metal melted down for cash credit toward your final balance, or alternatively, have the metal returned to you. Please be advised that a 20% service fee applies if you elect to proceed with the melting option. Any unused gemstones will be carefully returned to your possession as well.
